Hello, and welcome to the GNU Arcade. This is a free arcade script currently in development. Upon or near completion, it will be licensed under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later. If you are interested in helping create this, and have knowledge about PHP, mySQL, HTML, and/or CSS, feel free to have a look around. If you are good with graphics and/or design, we need a logo and we could always use ideas about how to make GNU Arcade theme-ready. If you play arcades, let us know what features should be included in the GNU Arcade. If you are active on the internet and know people who fit the above descriptions, please spread the word about the GNU Arcade.

Current Priorities

Categories

We need to have a categories table to have X amount of categories, and have each game in the ga_games table to be associated with a category ID.

User Login

We really need a user login system, using sessions and cookies. This would allow us to keep more detailed stats, and to have an admin area for easy system changes.

Install Script

We also need an install script that'll create the necessary tables in the specefied mySQL database.

Logo

We would like to have a logo. Ideally, it would be a vector graphic, but as long as it can scale to 135x135, 48x48, and 16x16 without much distortion, it would be great. Ideas: Joystick, Mouse, anything not using a copyright-protected figure (Mario, etc.) and something completely original and made from scratch.
